Important Information
Coaches & Captains Meeting
There will be two options to attend the Coaches and Captain’s Meeting. A Coach or Team Representative is required to attend one (1)of the two (2)meetings. Prior to or after that meeting if you have additional questions,please contact Tournament Director Roger Jerez or the NIRSA HQ Representative Lauren Carlson. The directors will also be at team check-in to answer any questions. The meetings will be held virtually on:
- December 12at 1pmEST
- December 14 at 5pmEST.
Mandatory Team Check-In
Mandatory team check-in will be held on Sunday, December 15th from 4:00-7:00pm EST at the University of North Florida Field House, 1 UNF Dr., Jacksonville, FL. A minimum of one (1) representative from each team is required to check-in. If a member of your team cannot make team check-in on Sunday, December 15th, please contact Lauren Carlson at 352-448-6151 no later than Friday, December 6th to make alternate arrangements to check in prior to your first game on Monday, December 16th.
The following will be required at team check-in:

- Team Roster Form Verification (Event Connect)
- Team Lodging and Transportation Information
Player Certification Form
Team captain(s)should have received this form by email from Lauren Carlson, if you have not received it, please contact [email protected] or download the form from the website. This form is an important step in registration and must be signed by all players, sport club rep, and university registrar to verify current enrollment. When you get your Player Certification form back from the registrar, please take a photo it and submit the form along with a roster of players with light and dark jerseys by December 11th via this Google Form. Bring the original with you to Team Check-In!
Schedule and Seeding Information
Tournament Schedule
The tournament schedule will be posted on Event Connect after team check-in is complete. Please be diligent in reviewing the Event Connect App for schedule changes and updates. Teams are guaranteed to play two (2) pool play games and at least one (1) single-elimination bracket play game. It is advised by Competition Directors that teams plan travel no earlier than 3:00pm EST on the last day of the tournament.

Bracket Seeding
To incentive regional participation, this year, teams will be seeded in a standardized process as opposed to a draft selection. At the conclusion of each league’s pool play games, the entire league will be positioned in the bracket according to the seeding criteria listed below. Seeding positions and bracket information will be posted to and communicated via the Event Connect App.

Team & Player Experience
Player Experience Opportunities
Scrimmages: To support the training and development of the selected flag football referees who will be officiating the National Flag Football Tournament, as well as provide an additional pre-tournament practice opportunity for teams, we will be hosting scrimmages following team check-in on Sunday, December 15th. Sign-up information will be shared via Event Connect once team registration documents are completed and approved. Please keep an eye out!
Skills Contest: The Jacksonville Jaguars, RCX Sports and NIRSA Nationall Flag Football are holding a skills contest!

NIRSA Tournament Rules, Policies & Procedures
Photo ID Required
Each player is required to show their photo ID before each game. A player is permitted to use a University ID, Driver’s license/State ID or passport. No photographs of IDs will be accepted.
Inclement Weather
Please note that the tournament format, number of games, and game length may change due to a team not showing up or circumstances beyond our control (weather). There are NO back-up fields. Under extreme weather conditions, the tournament could be canceled.
Tournament Withdrawal
Directors understand that plans can change, so please inform us immediately if you cannot attend. Teams that canceled after signing up may receive a sanction for future national tournaments. The best phone number to call or text is Lauren Carlson at 352-448-6151.

Sporting Behavior Statement
We wholeheartedly embrace the position that, for positive sporting behavior to prevail, coaches, student-athletes, and fans must display respect, fairness, civility, honesty, and responsibility before, during, and after all athletic contests. The NIRSA Championship Series is committed to holding tournaments in a safe and inclusive environment free from bullying. Offensive language including profanity and/or derogatory remarks of any kind directed at officials, event staff, student-athletes, coaches, or team representatives will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the competition site.
Code of Conduct
Please remind all players they signed a Code of Conduct. Remember you are representing your school. Respect the quiet hours at the hotel and practice positive sporting behavior on the field.

eams are responsible for their own transportation to and from the hotels/airport/fields. Plan your departure time from your hotel accordingly considering morning traffic/parking issues, as well as different field locations.

FAQ’s
There will be athletic trainers available on-site during the tournament. Players must bring their own pre-wrap and tape for preventative taping. Tape will NOT be available for purchase.

Yes, restrooms are located throughout the venue, and concessions will be available for purchase at Clay County Sports Complex but NOT at Daily’s Place at Everbank Stadium.
