Our Unified National Championship Game tipped off between the University of Louisiana- Lafayette Ragin Cajuns and the Florida State Seminoles. Teams battled it out to see who would cut down the nets as 2019 NIRSA National Basketball Champions. With 5 minutes left in the first half, the score was 11-11 when FSU made a free throw that put them up 12-11. The Seminoles didn’t take their foot off the pedal, draining a 3 pointer shortly after from Blake Wingo. At the half, FSU led 17-15.

The game continued with teams to be evenly matched all the way through. FSU held their lead when there were two minutes remaining until a series of free throws changed the course of the game.

The Ragin Cajuns trailed by 4 points when #23 Colt Harrison made two free throws to take it 26-24. Luke Gardner of the Ragin Cajuns closely followed and sank two free throws to tie the game 26-26.

As the final seconds winded down, FSU’s Eric Vidrine made two free throws to take the lead 28-26. FSU made two more free throws to secure the Championship title in the Unified Division.
