The final games of the night saw Women’s Intramural teams squaring off to determine who is heading to Championship Sunday.
The North Carolina A&T Lady Aggies faced Georgia Southern in a semifinal game that was full of action-packed offense. Kindole Pettway led Georgia Southern with 13 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals to keep them in the game, but the Yellowjackets couldn’t overcome the deficit and ultimately lost 48 – 28 to the Lady Aggies. Tyana Scott from North Carolina A&T had 13 points and 1 rebound that helped maintain the strong lead they had throughout the game.
Angelo State bested Missouri S&T 47 – 31 to move onto the Championship game against the Lady Aggies of North Carolina A&T. Shannon Thompson of Angelo State led the Vixens 15 points and 8 rebounds. Darcy Latham of Missouri S&T had 9 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 blocks and 1 steal, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the strong lead that Angelo State had.
