The 2018 NIRSA National Flag Football Championship renewed this afternoon with more open division games as well as the collegiate Co-Rec quarterfinal games in bracket play.  Teammates relying on each other to run the right routes, call the correct defenses, and pick each other up when they needed it the most were just some of the highlights we saw as the first afternoon set of games came to a close.  Here are the scores from that hour:

HIGHLIGHT GAME
Angelo State – 28
Missouri – 25

Another thriller to start the afternoon games.  Down 25-18 to Missouri, Angelo State’s Charles Tapia threw a touchdown pass to Shannon Thompson to get the go ahead 9-point score and seal a victory for Angelo State.

Julian Helms and Malik Jones helped contribute to the Angelo State cause with an interception each on defense.  Landon Mouse had a TD pass to Jasmine Wells for Missouri, and Drew Norton for Missouri had an interception as well in te losing effort.
