HIGHLIGHT GAME
Florida A&M – 12

North Carolina A&T – 0

A spirited rivalry renewed as two perennial competitors met again in pool play.  However, it would be FAMU that got the upper hand with a 12-0 victory.  FAMU’s Christina Mattis would intercept a pass in the second half and take it in for a pick-six to extend their lead to 12-0.  Payton Turner of NC A&T would intercept a pass herself at the two-minute warning to keep hope alive for The Elite, but it was too little, too late as time expired.

Aaliyah Barrington-Johnson would contribute to FAMU with a TD reception from Christina Mathis as well.  Tia Campbell for NC A&T would bring the pressure and add a tackle for loss in the losing effort.

Texas State – 33
Southern – 0

HIGHLIGHT GAME
Florida – 27
Georgia Southern – 6

It was all Florida in this game, with lots of contributors making it happen.  Charlotte Tuohy of Florida started it off with a big interception, and Jayci Grosso added an interception of her own.  Offensively, Olivia Salzman had a huge day with four TD passes to four different receivers.  Amanda Chromiak also contributed with two tackles for losses.

Georgia Southern’s Courtney Johnson tossed a TD pass to Marissa Garcia for the lone score.  Eliana Difuntorum, Molly Davis, and Courtney Turner worked hard to get defensive pressure, but it was not enough to topple the defending champions.
