Round of 16

We will have a new national champion! Michigan State outlasted UCSB after 6 rounds of kicks from the mark. The score was Michigan State 1 (3) UCSB (2). It was a great back and forth match. Each team had advantages in the kicks from the mark stage but Michigan State will move on.

Michigan State will take on UC Davis in the next round. UC Davis had their own extra time game with North Carolina. Annie Harrier won it for UC Davis in extra time 2-1.

Colorado State had a solid performance against UConn in their 3-0 victory. They will take on Illinois who defeated Gonzaga 2-1.

Men’s Championship
Round of 16

’17 Semifinalist Wisconsin advanced to the quarterfinals with a 1-0 victory over Colorado. They will take on Virginia Tech who had no problems in their 6-0 win over Fordham.

’17 Quarterfinalist Michigan State defeated Texas 2-1.  Michigan State will next take on North Carolina in the quarterfinals. North Carolina had a tough win over Virginia 2-0.

Women’s Open

Pool A: Defending champion Oregon wins the pool with 9 points, Vermont 2nd with 6 points (+2 GD), Iowa 3rd place with 3 points and Missouri State 4th place with 0 points.

Pool B: UCLA wins pool with 9 points, Penn State 2nd with 6 points (+1 GD), Minnesota 3rd with 1 point (-2 GD) and Purdue 4th with 1 point (-5 GD).

Pool C: Cincinnati wins pool with 9 points, Virginia Tech 2nd with 6 points (+6 GD), Towson 3rd with 3 points and Texas Tech 4th with 1 point.

Women’s Open Brackets will be worked on after the conclusion of the 12pm games.
