There are days when any fan or player has wondered if there was a lid on the rim. For Air Force, it was one of those days. The Falcons faced relentless defensive pressure from Wisconsin and when they did get free for shot, it rarely fell through the hoop. In fact, Wisconsin led 16-0 at the break and 18-0 early in the second half before Air Force’s Rileymarie Clark was able hit a pair of free throws to get the Falcons on the board. Myah Jackson hit Air Force’s first field goal with 13:39 left in the game, already down 21-6. Wisconsin comfortably held on to its big margin to cruise to the title.
Tournament MVP Katelyn Crothers led the Badgers wit 7 points and 4 rebounds in the final. Fellow All-Tournament team member Connor Dlugopolski added 4 points along with 3 boards. For Air Force, All-Tournament selection Myah Jackson had 6 points and 8 rebounds.
