Opening Rounds of Championship Bracket Play Continue

Ivy Tech edged Virginia by 4 and Lamar needed double overtime to get past Penn State in close playoff games in the opening rounds of championship bracket play this afternoon in the 2017 NIRSA National Basketball Championships, hosted by Ohio State University.

Here’s a look at afternoon playoff scores.  Men’s and women’s club tournaments will be down to 8 quarterfinal teams each by the end of the day.  The men’s IM and unified divisions will reach the final 4 participants by tonight.  And, the women’s IM division will know its championship game participants by the time the lights are out at the RPAC tonight.  Two more sets of games remain this evening, with the last games tipping off at 6:30 pm Eastern.
