Virginia did what no team had done all week, score on Cincinnati, and that one goal made the difference as the Cavs defeated the Bearcats 1-0 in the men’s championship division semifinals.

Tyler Miller-Jones scored in the first half, getting through the Bearcat defense and the ball past goalie Daniel Arguelles.  Then, it was the Virginia defense that went to work, keeping Cincinnati from scoring the equalizer and holding on for the 1-0 win.

Ohio State and San Diego State battled to a 1-1 tie at the end of regulation.  Josh McDaniel scored for the Buckeyes and Austin Martin netted a goal for the Aztecs, both in the second half.  But, Nevin Anandika’s golden goal in the extra time sent the Buckeyes to the championship with a 2-1 semifinal victory.

Ohio State and Virginia meet at 3:00 pm Central Time in the men’s national championship match here at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex in Foley, Alabama.
