Air Force, San Diego St, Oregon, USC, UCF Winners in 2:00 pm Women’s Pool Play

Defense ruled as West Virginia and Northern Iowa played to a 0-0 tie. West Virginia keeper Keleigh Cochran stopped a breakway shot from Northern Iowa’s Roni Storjohann and WV and a pair of chances to score go just wide of the goal in the second half.

A 2nd half goal from Sydney Kobuk was just enough to lead Oregon to a 2-1 win over James Madison in women’s open pool play.  Amy Shepherd scored a first half goal for the Ducks while JMU’s Kelsea Potts chipped the ball right over the Oregon goalie for the Duke’s lone goal.

Katelyn Miller, Stephanie Robb (2), Hunter Pace, and Paige Saxton-Getty were among the goal scorers in Air Force’s 5-0 shutout win over Miami (FL).

Look for the women’s open playoff bracket to be released soon.
